Hey Counsel,
You put the kids to bed at 8:30. By 8:45 you are at the kitchen table with your laptop and you have until maybe 10:00 before you cannot keep your eyes open. That is your window. One, maybe two hours. And every commercial course is built like you have eight.
Here is what nobody tells the parent studying at night. One to two focused hours of active work beats four hours of distracted skimming. The student with all day is often half-watching lectures while scrolling their phone. You do not have that luxury, and that is actually your advantage.
What the night session should look like.
Pick one subject. Do twenty-five MBE questions. Read every answer explanation, right and wrong. That is sixty to ninety minutes and it is the single highest-value thing you can do.
Do not start a new lecture series at 9:00 PM. Passive video at night is how you fall asleep on the couch and feel guilty about it. Active recall keeps you awake and actually moves the needle.
On the nights you are too tired, do ten questions instead of twenty-five. Ten is not nothing. Ten is a streak you do not break.
You are not behind. You are efficient by necessity. That is a skill that will serve you long after this exam.
I built a free night-study plan-finder for exactly this situation, sized to one or two hours a day. Find it at https://yourlastbarprep.com.
